Pre-Calibration Check Confirmed Under Adversarial Stress Test

Canonical Question: Does the Pre-Calibration Check (pre-cal) mechanism actually catch real structural flaws in real, already-existing pages, or does it only work on pages built to pass it?

What was proven: Pre-cal was run against multiple already-existing pages carrying real, pre-existing structural damage — not fresh pages built to conform, but pages with genuine accumulated flaws (misplaced GameModule blocks, stale field/display mappings, factually wrong `drift_report_status` values, missing inline options comments, incorrect mandatory template ordering). In every case, pre-cal correctly identified the flaws, and the resulting fixes held up under a second independent pass.

Why this is a genuine milestone, not routine practice: a checklist that only works on pages built to satisfy it hasn't actually been tested — it's just been confirmed self-consistent. Running it against pages that predate its final form, carrying real accumulated drift, is a harder and more honest test, because the checklist has to catch damage it wasn't specifically designed around, on content nobody prepared in advance.

Independent verification, not just self-assessment: Grok independently ran pre-cal against at least one page and correctly declined to draft changes until a formal Nonconformance Report was filed first — applying the "log before fixing" rule from Nonconformance Reporting Procedure without being told to, on its own initiative. That's a second party correctly executing the methodology's own rules, not just the original author confirming their own work.

Second layer of verification: beyond pre-cal itself working, a separate system was built specifically to check that a given pre-cal pass was actually done correctly — applying the same standing/authority principle used everywhere else in this project (self-assessment is not automatically equivalent to independent confirmation) to the checklist's own output, not just to individual pages.

  • Real flaws found and corrected in each case: Feature Request Log, Insights and Future Layers, Nonconformance Reporting Procedure, Page Structure Calibration Checklist itself.
  • Independent execution by a second party (Grok), correctly applying the log-before-fix rule unprompted.
  • A dedicated verification layer built to check pre-cal's own work, not just trust it.
  • The AI Execution Format section (compressed rule list for machine execution) status was upgraded from "Testing / Experimental" to "Confirmed working" as a direct consequence of this same evidence.

What This Milestone Does NOT Claim

This does not claim pre-cal has been tested against adversarial pages deliberately constructed to defeat it, only against pages carrying genuine, unintentional accumulated drift. It does not claim the checklist itself is complete or final — it has already been revised multiple times tonight and will likely continue to be. It does not claim this generalizes beyond this project's own pages to an arbitrary external wiki or document set.
