CYCLE Calibration position — Experimental · Open Source · Decentralization — Active Development

This page is a conceptual instrument under Permanent Beta. It declares a real calibration position, not a finished product waiting to ship. Checking continues; an edit is only required when evidence demands it. Stage: Seed to Fruit.

Feedback welcome — especially clarity, failure modes, and calibration gaps. Use discussion or Contribute.

Future Lab On-Ramp

Purpose: Make it easy for another lab to stand up without reinventing the rinse cycle — while keeping one clear traceability path until they mature enough to fork under their own certificates.

Tone: Everything here is meant to be readable and copyable. Link back to the source. If you have questions, we are here — use the discussion page for this Seed (and later a dedicated lab channel if one is published).

Non-claims:

  • This is not a franchise, license, or accreditation body.
  • Mirroring TSG does not make your lab “NIST” or “Confirmed.”
  • We do not own your conclusions; you do not inherit our standing by copy-paste.

Description On-ramp for future independent labs: how to mirror TSG pages with report links, subscribe for updates, establish their own rinse cycle, and optionally fork under their own standing. Everything intended to be readable, copyable, and traceable back to the source lab.

Core Principles

  • Reality gets final vote
  • See the Game. Refuse the Game. Build Better.

Core idea

Path What you do What it means
Mirror (Reference Copy) Copy or display pages; link to calibration reports; state who maintains the source Easy on-ramp; one traceability chain
Subscribe Get notified when source pages or reports change Anti-stale-mirror; drift control
Local pages Maintain pages specific to your lab, audience, or jurisdiction Your shop window — not a second secret method
Fork / take over Re-run locks, issue your own certificates, pin your own method version Graduation — maturity, not betrayal

One line: Copy + report link + “maintained at [source]” + update notify = start. Own certificates under inspectable method = lab.

How TSG does it (reference pattern)

This is the pattern we use; you may adopt, adapt, or replace it under your own standing.

Roles

  • TSG — Workbench: procedures, locks, runs, certificates, standing, Seeds → promote.
  • Dictionary / catalog sites — Catalog of calibrated definitions + links to reports — not a full cal engine.
  • MoA (public face) — Prefer mature pages; deep production stays on the lab bench.
  • Sister / org sites — Local pages they maintain; standards linked back to the lab that calibrated them.

Rinse cycle (operating claim)

  1. It works well enough to use under a stated method
  2. Without overclaim
  3. Complete traceability (dated lock → stages → report/IR → links)
  4. Improve the standard
  5. Rinse and repeat

Isolation

  • One run ↔ one lock ↔ one certificate (one abstract per sealed session/thread).
  • Shared Cal Procedure kit (minimum metrology + rules) can live in a project/shelf so every run starts with the same gates — without loading other abstracts’ conclusions as evidence.
  • AI + human is valid production; multi-model friction is an instrument, not a vote for Confirmed.

Standing (compressed)

  • Default: Self-Assessed.
  • Confirmed requires standing beyond author-only self-assessment (independent human path / multi-lab rule when defined) — not “the models agreed.”
  • Certificate has no faction; conflicts recorded; judgment wall during measurement stages.

When process is contaminated

Judgment or bias in the measurement path is nonconforming work: log it, re-run or openly amend — do not silent-pretty the final only.

Flow for a new lab

Phase 0 — Read

  • This Seed and linked method/overview pages on TSG.
  • One example calibration report + IR (see how a certificate looks).
  • Operating claim and non-ownership line.

Phase 1 — Mirror

  • Copy or transpose pages you need for your audience.
  • On each mirrored page, include at least:
    • Link to the calibration report (and IR if used)
    • Statement: Maintained at [The Sovereign Games / source lab URL]
    • Date or version of the page you copied
    • Optional: “Local notes below are ours only”
  • Do not present a mirror as your own calibration.

Phase 2 — Subscribe

  • Prefer a change-notification path when available (watchlist, feed, mailing list, or published “last updated” you check on a schedule).
  • When the source updates: review, update your copy or mark superseded — stale mirrors break traceability.

Phase 3 — Local maintenance

  • Build pages specific to you (examples, intake, your clients’ constraints, language).
  • Keep method and certificates pointed at the lab that actually ran them — until you run your own.

Phase 4 — Optional fork (maturity)

  • Pin your method version (even if derived from TSG).
  • Lock evidence yourself; run stages; issue your certificates with your standing.
  • Label forks clearly: new report ID, your lab name, what you reused vs re-ran.
  • If you outgrow the source: good — the network gained a lab, not a clone.

Phase 5 — Peer use

  • Third-party check of a certificate = independent team re-runs on the same lock + method (AI + human allowed) and compares material results within tolerance — or documents the delta.
  • Human-only re-derivation is optional, not the competence standard.

What we make easy to copy

Intended to stay public and readable on TSG (and mirrored catalogs as they mature):

  • Method overviews and stage logic (ADM / compiler)
  • Report / certificate expectations
  • Standing and impartiality rules
  • Seeds and Development Notes that survive promote
  • Calibration reports linked from catalog entries

Link back. Provenance is part of the product.

Dictionary and MoA (so labs don’t overbuild)

Site type Build Avoid
Dictionary Catalog of calibrated definitions + report links Full cal engine, standing bureaucracy, Seed nursery as the main product
MoA public domain Mature face of the discipline + links into the lab Hosting every experimental draft as if it were reference-grade
Your lab site Your intake, your mirrors, your own certificates when ready Quiet rewrite of someone else’s standing

Minimum checklist for “we are a mirror lab”

  • [ ] Report link on every “calibrated” claim
  • [ ] “Maintained at [source]” visible
  • [ ] Copy date / version noted
  • [ ] Update path (subscribe or scheduled check)
  • [ ] Local pages clearly separated from mirrored standards
  • [ ] No Confirmed claim borrowed from the source without your own rule

Minimum checklist for “we are a forked lab”

  • [ ] Own method pin / version
  • [ ] Own locks and certificates
  • [ ] Standing stated honestly
  • [ ] Inspectable path for a third party to re-pressure
  • [ ] Nonconforming-work practice
  • [ ] Clear label of what was inherited vs re-run

We are here

Questions, friction, and onboarding discussion for this Seed live on the Talk page.

Use Talk for: clarification, proposed improvements to this on-ramp, “we mirrored X and hit problem Y,” and good-faith pressure on the federation rules.

Calibration runs and formal certificates stay on the lab process — Talk is for humans coordinating the on-ramp, not for silent re-grading of abstracts.

Promote path

When this Seed stabilizes under real external use, promote to a main Lab On-Ramp / Federation page (and optionally a short mirror template: report link + maintained-at + version). Until then: Experimental Seed.
