Calibration Report - 2026-07-14

Reviewer: Sovereign Review Type: Self-Assessment

Summary of Changes

  • Confirmed via direct testing that this template fails on pages in the `Template:` namespace — same failure pattern already documented for Template:Standalone Transparency.
  • Added an explicit warning to the noinclude section: do not use this template on `Template:` pages.
  • Amended the existing Known Site Issues & Fixes entry (append-only) rather than creating a duplicate report, noting this is now a second confirmed instance of the same pattern.
  • Diagnostic value of this second instance: both affected templates (`Standalone Transparency` and this one) share the `Subpage Hub-Linked Transparency` / `Subpage Hub-Linked Transparency`-family pattern. Two independent confirmations of the same failure signature is stronger evidence the root cause is shared and structural — likely something about how these parser functions resolve in `Template:` namespace generally — rather than a bug isolated to one template's specific code.

instrument_grade / validation

No change — this is a known, disclosed limitation on an otherwise-working template (confirmed working correctly in its intended use case: content subpages routing to a content hub). The `Template:` namespace failure is scoped and explicitly warned against, not a defect in the template's core function.

Open Items

  • Root cause remains unidentified across both instances.
  • Project owner has a possible lead to investigate later — noted in the Known Site Issues & Fixes entry, not yet pursued.
  • Template:New Page Seed and Template:Calibration Maintenance Log both currently use a template choice for their own `Template:`-namespace footer that has not been separately confirmed safe — worth flagging as still open, since neither of the two tested-and-failed templates were what ended up on those two pages, but nothing currently placed there has been positively confirmed working either.
