Core Standards of Use
- Self-Application First
Apply Hidden Mastery and Diagnostic Inversion to yourself before using the framework on others. Diagnosing patterns in others while remaining blind to your own participation in the same dynamics is a primary source of misuse.
- Grounding in Reality
Analysis must remain anchored in observable evidence, measurable outcomes, and traceable reasoning. Selectively applying the framework to win arguments or advance an agenda undermines its purpose.
- Proportionality
Not every disagreement or negative outcome is evidence of a major destructive game. Over-application turns the framework into a source of distortion rather than clarity.
- Movement Toward Construction
Diagnosis is incomplete without movement toward better alternatives. Responsible use requires progressing beyond identification of problems toward the creation of improved systems or practices.
- Resistance to Status Capture

- Am I moving toward building better alternatives, or remaining in a cycle of diagnosis and criticism?
- Would I reach the same conclusions if the roles or affiliations were reversed?
