This page serves as a reference for calibrating pages and concepts within The Sovereign Games. Rather than treating pages as finished documents, this reference approaches them as conceptual instruments that can be evaluated, improved, and recalibrated over time.

The goal is to raise the quality of pages toward the standards expected in professional engineering and metrology documentation — clarity, traceability, honest uncertainty, and continuous improvement.

Pages are developed in two phases:

  1. Development Phase
  Focus on capturing core ideas, reasoning, and structure. Some looseness is acceptable while the substance is still forming.
  1. Calibration Pass
  Once a page has reasonable conceptual maturity, conduct a deliberate review using the Calibration Dimensions below. Improve the page in focused passes rather than attempting to address everything at once.

Calibration Dimensions

These dimensions are used to evaluate and improve pages:

  • Operationalization — Can the concept or method be applied consistently by others? Are clear procedures or examples provided?
  • Traceability — Are claims clearly connected to supporting reasoning, evidence, or prior framework concepts?
  • Validation — Has the concept or method been tested or applied in real situations? Are results documented?
  • Resolution — At what level of precision and specificity is the page operating? Does it move beyond general claims into clear mechanisms and conditions?
  • Boundary Conditions — Where does this concept or model stop working? What are its known limits and assumptions?
  • Measurability and Uncertainty — Are key claims accompanied by indicators and honest statements about confidence or uncertainty?
  • External Review Readiness — Is the page written clearly enough for knowledgeable outsiders to evaluate it meaningfully?
  • Self-Correction — Are limitations, open questions, and areas needing further work clearly acknowledged?
