Slave Owner Game

The Slave Owner Game is the foundational diagnostic module of The Sovereign Games.

It names the recurring pattern in which individuals, groups, institutions, or entire cultures use deception, coercion, narrative control, guilt, shame, institutional power, or violence to turn other human beings into tools, resources, or subordinates for their own benefit — often while claiming to act for the victim’s good.

Core Definition

The Slave Owner Game is corrupted Game Theory in action. Instead of mutual cooperation, voluntary exchange, and positive-sum outcomes, one party seeks to **own or control** the agency, labor, loyalty, or future of others.

It can be conscious and deliberate, or unconscious and cultural. It scales from personal manipulation to institutional and civilizational predation.

Common Tactics

  • Redefinition of language and reality
  • Moral blackmail, guilt, and shame induction
  • Creating dependency (economic, emotional, ideological, or identity-based)
  • Selective history and narrative control
  • Frame control (“If you disagree, you are evil / hateful / dangerous”)
  • Weaponized empathy and victimhood
  • Institutional capture and regulatory power
  • Trauma and agency destruction (especially of the young)

Real-World Effects

This game systematically:

  • Erodes personal sovereignty and agency
  • Creates dependent, broken, or compliant populations
  • Weakens high-trust cooperation and merit-based systems
  • Shifts power toward the players of the game
  • Produces long-term civilizational damage when played at scale

Connection to Other Games

  • Fuels and is amplified by the Moloch Game
  • Often enabled by Principal-Agent failures
  • Works synergistically with Status/Signaling, Narrative Control, and Memetic Evolution
  • Directly countered by Reality Game, Results & Consequences, Skin in the Game, and Sovereign Builder strategies

Sovereign Response

    • Refuse to play. Name the game clearly.**

The most effective counter is to:

  • Clearly identify and expose the tactics rather than debating the surface narrative
  • Refuse the offered frame
  • Build parallel systems based on voluntary cooperation, merit, truth, and genuine sovereignty
  • Practice Hidden Mastery to ensure you are not unconsciously participating

See the Game. Refuse the Game. Build Better.
