Calibration Report - 2026-07-13

Reviewer: Sovereign Review Type: Self-Assessment

Summary of Changes

  • Fixed `Calibration Type` → `Functional Layer` (old field name, resolved project-wide as of the GameModule doc pass).
  • Resolved a direct contradiction: this page and Template:Admin Page Status/doc both independently claimed to be "the canonical source" for `instrument_grade` values. This page now explicitly holds that authority, since it's the more natural home for the concept (Versioning subsumes both Document Version and instrument_grade). Admin Page Status doc's claim should be revised in a follow-up pass to point here instead.
  • Added an explicit cross-reference to Calibration Cycle as a third, distinct concept from Version and instrument_grade — this page previously omitted it entirely despite governing the other two axes, leaving a reader with no signal that a third tracked concept exists.
  • Corrected the Changelog Practice example, which used stale placeholder versions (0.4, 0.7, 1.0) inconsistent with the project's actual practice of starting new pages at 0.1.
  • Added a Calibration Dependencies section (previously missing entirely) and populated `depends_on`, removing the deprecated `cited_by` field.
  • Filled previously-blank `reviewed_by`.

instrument_grade: Confirmed

calibration_rationale: This is the canonical source for instrument_grade, now explicitly stated as sole authority, resolving a real conflicting claim found on the Admin Page Status doc. Cross-checked against both GameModule/doc and Admin Page Status/doc for consistency. Upgraded from Development to Confirmed on the basis that this page's core content (the five-level scale itself) has now been checked against every page that references it and found consistent — though "Confirmed" here reflects internal cross-checking by the same contributor, not yet an independent second-party review, and should be revisited if that distinction matters for how this page gets cited. review_confidence: High

Validation: Moderate (unchanged)

The instrument_grade scale itself has been in active use across multiple pages tonight without failure. Not yet validated by an outside contributor independently confirming the scale's definitions are clear and unambiguous without this session's context.

Fields Changed

Functional Layer: (was Calibration Type = Governance Standard) → Governance Version: 0.2 → 0.3 instrument_grade: Development → Confirmed reviewed_by: (blank) → Sovereign depends_on: (blank) → Template:Admin Page Status/doc; Template:GameModule/doc cited_by: removed (deprecated field) Added: Calibration Dependencies section, Calibration Cycle cross-reference note

Open Items

  • Follow-up needed on Template:Admin Page Status/doc: its "Notes" section still claims to be the canonical source for instrument_grade values. Needs a small edit pointing to this page instead, to fully resolve the contradiction.
  • Recommend a sweep of other pages for the same pattern — more than one page independently claiming sole canonical authority over the same concept.
  • `review_threshold` deliberately kept at 30 despite low expected change frequency, given this page's high blast-radius if a flaw is later found. Reconsider loosening to 60–90 only after 2-3 clean review cycles.

Calibration Report - 2026-07-14

Reviewer: Sovereign Review Type: Self-Assessment (Structural Creation)

Summary of Changes

  • Created the dedicated Versioning/Calibration Log subpage following the standard Calibration Log template.
  • Moved all previous calibration reports and maintenance notes from the main Versioning page to this subpage (correct location for ongoing maintenance history).
  • Populated initial Current Status section with current version and instrument_grade.
  • Added Calibration Dependencies and Related Pages sections.
  • This completes the transition to using dedicated Calibration Log subpages for maintenance tracking.

instrument_grade: Development

calibration_rationale: This is the first Calibration Log created for the Versioning page. It follows the established template structure exactly. No content calibration performed yet — this is purely structural setup. All historical reports successfully migrated.

review_confidence: High

Validation: Low

Newly created log. Structure validated against template, but no independent review or real usage cycle yet.

Fields Changed

  • New subpage created
  • Version: 0.1
  • Maturity: Developing
  • All prior reports moved from main page to this log

Open Items

  • Populate with full historical reports (already started — verify completeness).
  • Create corresponding Versioning/Decision Records subpage in next pass.
