Template:Calibration Template

This template provides a quick-reference table for which navigation templates to use when building Calibration Log infrastructure at different page depths (main page, subpage, sub-subpage). It exists because pages at different depths in the hierarchy need different back-navigation — a Calibration Log for a subpage needs to link back further than one for a main page.

Usage

Use this table to determine which template to insert based on the page's depth in the hierarchy.

Calibration Log Templates Usage

Includes Decision Records. Per Decision Records: Governance Memory, Decision Records are merged into the existing Calibration Log infrastructure rather than requiring separate templates — but where a dedicated subpage exists, Calibration Log and Decision Records are sibling nested pages under the same master, not combined into one.

Standalone Use, No Subpages

Step One: Insert in Main Page or Subpage

• Applies when Calibration Log: When to Create One determined this page doesn't need a dedicated `/Calibration Log` subpage. Both the Calibration Log and Decision Records live on the page's Talk history — low-effort by design.
• Standalone template for the Calibration Menu:

• If this page later becomes complex enough to warrant a dedicated subpage (re-run the Calibration Log: When to Create One test), switch to the appropriate Standard Use section below and transfer the existing Talk-page history forward as a starting point.

Note on deeper nesting: this table currently covers up to Mainpage/Subpage/Calibration Log and Mainpage/Subpage/Decision Records. If a page ever needs a subpage of a subpage of a subpage (four levels deep), a corresponding `-Subpage` variant navigation template would need to be created for that depth as well, following the same naming pattern.
