Virtue Signaling Game

The Virtue Signaling Game is the widespread pattern of performing moral superiority for social status rather than actually doing good.

Core Definition

It is the substitution of cheap public displays of morality for costly, effective action.

Common Tactics

  • Loudly supporting causes while avoiding personal sacrifice
  • Shaming others to elevate one’s own status
  • Performative activism that harms the intended beneficiaries
  • Using “compassion” as a status weapon

Connection to Other Games

  • Often a tool of the Slave Owner Game
  • Works synergistically with Weaponized Empathy
  • Defeated by Results & Consequences and Skin in the Game

Sovereign Response

Judge people and institutions by their **measurable actions and results**, not their public statements or emotional displays.

See the Game. Refuse the Game. Build Better.
