The other party is often entrenched, performing for their own audience, or simply not open to updating in that moment. Writing primarily for them is frequently wasted effort. The practitioner's job is to make the structure of the exchange — the moves, tactics, and logical chain — visible to whoever is watching.

Correction of the other party, if it happens at all, is a byproduct. Clarity for the audience is the point.
